Celebrate VOGUE (with me!)

Come see me, my friend Andrea of Research and Ramblings and librarian Lindsey Powers at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 12 at the Phoenix Art Museum as we wax poetic on Vogue: The Evolution of the September Issue and the museum's newly acquired Vogue Online Archive - which is exactly what it sounds to be. Courtesy of the Arizona Costume Institute, the Archive is a marvelous, intricate, endless tool of history and fashion that students and patrons alike can use in the museum's Lemon Art Research Library for free. 

That's the cost of nothing, folks. It's like stealing, but not illegal.

Cheaper than Starbucks and therapy and shoes, the Archive is available to all, and we'll show you how to use it - it's how-to's, possibilities and downright glamorous content - all through the rose-colored glasses of the evolution of our beloved Vogue September issues, authentic historical copies of which will be on display for your perusing pleasure.

Bring your own favorite issues of Vogue so you can wax poetic, too, on how the magazine has influenced your own life.
