If a plethora of good times has what's been on the up and up the past couple of weeks, then a plethora of mucus has subsequently been partying in my innards. God bless Tylenol. Why can others always seem to go, go, go and absorb the joy of this like a cat in a twine factory and my body decides to feel fatigued two days in only to fully render incapable of doing anything two weeks later? Obviously, I'm sick. And sick because I don't rest. And not resting because life has taken its own usual turns lately in a mish-mash of ups and downs and so, you'll find the blog artfully neglected as I deal. I'm struggling in that middle space in which we find ourselves when life is confusing and hard and joyful at the same time. In this space I take 5 minutes and fill my eyes with the beauty of what's been happening during Fashion Month and smile at the nap I get to take like, next Sunday. God bless you all for reading this. Enjoy what's been on the up and up while I down wheatgrass and get back on the up and up...for Phoenix Fashion Week and another designer for Designer Month will come to light in about four days...
Last week: The day Prada baked gold leather socks into a confection of layered patriotic sandforms (sandal + platform), we had our own Prada Party across the ocean as the Scottsdale flagship welcomed us in...2 days before the launch of Modern Spirit: Fashion of the 1920's at Phoenix Art Museum (covered here)...3 days after I thought I was getting sick and then didn't and then did...(aaaand those mucus guys from those Mucinex commercials chuckle maliciously):

Then unbeknownst to my nose and better judgement the mucus moved in quickly and thoroughly as I hopped in a minivan across the desert with Jane of Just Jane Boutique (where I intern as a social media strategist) for a little quick networking and shopping in L.A. What an experience! Though I sneezed everywhere and probably sent Jane the gift of a bug, I encountered some great companies, people and places in one day and I won't regret it. Loooooved seeing the Melie Bianco showroom below:

BTW is that red dress you're wearing leather? it looks like it and very cool and flattering on you. although I don't think anything would look bad on you. xo
