And we're off! Seriously the most glamourous event to happen in Phoenix each year (last year's headliner was Lisa Immordino Vreeland of Diana Vreeland: The Eye has to Travel) the Arizona Costume Institute Holiday Luncheon is now on schedule for Wednesday, December 12 at Phoenix Art Museum.
I am personally ecstatic for this year's speaker, not only because I'm a member of the ACI this year but because it is a topic of which I cannot get enough.
The impeccable fashion illustrator and author David Downton will speak about the history of fashion illustration (every fashion file's favorite obsession) and it's relevance today. The event will feature a champagne reception, a drawing and an exclusive viewing of selected works from the Museum's permanent collection. Don't know the name? You do, actually. Downton is the author of Masters of Fashion Illustration and illustrates couture and fashion for small folks like Vogue, Topshop, Tiffany & Co., Harper's Bazaar...you know, little companies no one's ever heard of.
Ha! Get your tix here:)
