The American Dream: Kendra Scott

..."Kendra Scott Jewelry is a global multimillion-dollar brand sold at renowned retailers like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Lord and Taylor, Henri Bendel and over a thousand specialty boutiques worldwide" ~ via KendraScott.com

Savvy and sophisticated as the woman herself, Scott's gems are merchandised like your own would naturally be if you owned a closet similar to Carrie's in the only Sex and the City flick that matters. I arrived Tuesday morning at Scott's new Scottsdale store to experiment with the best part about it - the Kendra Scott Color Bar™, an interactive experience where customers can choose gold or silver, various silhouettes and a spectrum of stones to create their own designs and have each product immediately assembled

The beginning of my bracelet...
You hand select each stone so you know EXACTLY what you're getting, as each stone is a tiny bit different...
It
Kindly being assembled.
Each drawer where the semiprecious stones are kept is marked with a drawer pull created with that stone. Sure, I made a bracelet modeled after Roy G. Biv (who wouldn't?), but these are a few of my favorite baubles:

Before the final reveal, the below is jewelry on my wish list, which they keep for you (custom ideas INCLUDED) in case the significant oth is feeling generous gets a bonus (not that he needs one, cuz the prices are wallet-friendly)...

Interested in making your own customized chunk of bling? Visit Scottsdale Fashionista, where Karen details it much better than I. Here's what I came up with, if you're feeling emulative:

Can we seriously observe how creepy my wrist/hand relationship looks right now? I promise that bracelet is WAY prettier on than my pasty appendage makes it look. We'll discuss at a later date, TBD. Meanwhile: customize online at this juncture.

Note re: first paragraph: salvage, not selvedge, which is a n. :"the edge of woven fabric finished so as to prevent raveling, often in a narrow tape effect, different from the body of the fabric." N/A here...obviously.
